Information about what we do:

PE takes place in the hall on a Tuesday afternoon. Please make sure they have clothes they can easily take off and put on!

The children also have daily physical activities outdoors.

Dinners – dinner menus are currently sent home every 3 weeks for you to choose with your child what they would like to eat.

Reading books are collected in every day and children who have read at home will have their book changed as needed. All the children read with an adult at least twice a week and often much more.

Home learning – we send a homework book home on Fridays. This might be activities involving reading, writing or maths or based around a topic such as Autumn or Easter. The homework is always chosen so that your child should be able to complete most of it independently.

WOW certificates – We love to hear how children have been learning at home and we can use this information towards making assessments about your child’s progress through the Early Years Curriculum. You will be given a WOW certificate to complete for your child or a home learning sheet where you can tell us all about the fantastic things they have been doing!

Marvellous Me! – We regularly use the Marvellous Me! App to keep you informed about some of the wonderful things the children have achieved during each week. Make sure you have a log in (available from the office) so that you can receive your child’s Marvellous Me! Certificates and photos

Lexia – The children access the app Lexia regularly during the week using the iPads. They work on this phonics based programme independently, meeting the challenges and playing the games. We monitor how they are doing and provide support where children need it.

Our Gallery – We post photos from Reception and different activities that we do regularly on this website. Please click on the link to have a look and see what we’ve been up to!
